Greet visitors without jumping — indoor sit and settle
You practise sit and lie down as the start of greetings, then add a real person only when the mat is already easy.
Guests become a rugby tackle. You hold the dog, they rehearse jumping, and everyone arrives stressed.
What you practise
- Ask for sit before anyone reaches for the dog.
- Pay for four paws on the floor, not for the jump you just blocked.
- Use lie down on a mat while someone walks through the room.
- Guests are the last pressure, not the first training session.
Visitor pressure is weeks 5–6. Sit and lie down are taught first so greetings have somewhere to land.
